Baby Pena Safari Shower - Houston, TX

Baby Pena received her first (and second) baby shower while we were back home in August.  We told them that we were going to do a Safari theme for the nursery so they took that and ran with it. Nicole and Geraldine came up with cute animal theme ideas for the decor, the two moms, Gerald's aunt, Tita Mareth and Marielle helped with the food prep and set up. Since we had such a big group of friends and family that wanted to celebrate with us, they decided to split the party over two days: one for friends, one for family, which worked out perfectly. It was so fun to just hang out and share this special time with our friends and family. Sometimes you take having your friends and family close by for granted but after living away from home for almost 5 years now, I know not to do that and cherish every moment spent together. We were definitely missing Jason during this time, but know he was looking down on us from up above. We can't wait for Baby Pena to meet all of our Houston family and friends in 2015! Thanks everyone for coming and celebrating with us!
